We are recruiting for a Youth Worker and College Chaplain

We are excited to be recruiting for a new Youth Worker and College Chaplain to work in this unique partnership between Cornerstone Church and Leyton Sixth Form College.

 Since 2020 these two neighbouring institutions has been working together in loving and serving young people in Leyton through the joint employment of a Youth Worker and College Chaplain. This role will see the right person leading youth ministry in a evangelical charismatic church and vital pastoral support to students at one of East London’s largest educational institutions.

We are seeking someone who is excited about helping young people encounter Jesus, ready to disciple young people to play their part in what God is doing in Leyton and willing to work, train and inspire a wonderful team of volunteers including many who used to be young people in the church.

 Cornerstone is a vibrant place seeking to be a place of mission and ministry throughout the week. We are committed to working with children and young people, committed to local social action and together as a community growing in way of Jesus. We run many exciting community projects which love and serve the people of East London including our award-winning Baby Bank, After School Primary Age Drop in, a popular Youth Club and our own Preschool.

 The right candidate will join a staff team that is fun and friendly and a church that is seeking to be a multicultural, multigenerational church, growing in the way of Jesus, through word, spirit and action.
