Holiday Hunger

What is Holiday Hunger? It’s the seasonal food insecurity affecting some school pupils and their entire families during school holidays. A further 2 million pupils who do not receive free school meals, but whose parents experience in-work poverty are also at risk. 

What do we do? Cornerstone Church has been running a project since June 2020 to support local families with food and other practical support. This includes a package of support at Christmas time including Christmas Hampers for all the families.  

How can we help? We are running the project in partnership with local schools so we are not able to take direct referrals. However, if you need help, please do get in touch on info@thecornerstone.org.uk and we can connect you to local foodbanks and other support.
